We’re back—and this time, we’re digging into the unspoken rules of mops job interviews. We promise our panel of hiring managers will get beyond the surface-level tips and share real-world advice. Warning: these tips are not necessarily what’s PC. Get ready to take some notes.

  • How to get the interview: what makes a resume stand out and whether (or how) to reach out to the hiring team on LinkedIn
  • The biggest interview mistakes mops candidates make. Hint: it’s not about having every answer, it’s about how you think.
  • The telltale signs you’re not actually interested in their job and how much you should know about their marketing ops going in.
  • Does your LinkedIn matter? What turns employers off and do you really need to be posting about marketing ops?
  • How to handle take-home tests without getting exploited. Spot when you’re being asked to solve their technical problems.
  • Not all questions are created equal: what not to ask hiring managers—and how deep or technical it’s appropriate to go during the interview stage.
  • Salary transparency: what’s great, what’s tricky, and where to find up-to-date marketing ops salary benchmarks.

As a friendly reminder, these sessions are only for marketing operations professionals.
