June Huddle Topic

Leading Through Chaos: Ops Leadership in Reorgs, Layoffs, and Pivots

Wednesday, June 11 | 9am-10am PT/12pm-1pm ET

It’s a tough time to be in marketing ops. Even if your team hasn’t been directly affected by layoffs, reorgs and pivots are everywhere, and the ripple effects are real. Workloads shift overnight. Team members move on. And leaders are left trying to support their people without being able to guarantee anything. In this session, we’ll talk candidly about how to lead through uncertainty, create a sense of psychological safety, and help your team stay grounded and productive—even when things feel messy.
Discussion questions:
  • How can ops leaders offer any sense of stability or psychological safety when nothing feels certain?
  • What does it really look like to keep delivering in an environment of reduced resources and team burnout?
  • How can marketing ops teams help the business make smart decisions during times of chaos without pretending everything’s fine?
  • What’s one specific change you made to your team’s workflow or priorities after a reorg—and how did it go?
  • How have you adjusted your SLAs or stakeholder communication processes after a pivot or restructure?
  • Have you ever had to “re-scope” someone’s role due to layoffs or a reorg? How did you approach that conversation?
  • Have you developed or used any templates or tools to help your team adapt quickly to change?

As a friendly reminder, these sessions are only for marketing operations professionals.

All registrants will be reviewed and approved to attend. Sales professionals for any industry (including selling into the mops space) are not able to join us. Thank you for your understanding.
